All are welcome for the February 2025 meeting of the Westchester-Putnam chapter of the North American Butterfly Association. This month's meeting will feature a presentation by Eva Thaddeus. Eva is a native New Yorker who, in spite of (or maybe because of) growing up in Manhattan, has always been a passionate gardener and naturalist. After a 20-year career as a public school teacher in New Mexico, and four years as an environmental educator at Teatown, she opened Wild Gardens Nursery, a native plant nursery in Cortlandt Manor for home gardeners. Her ongoing investigation of ecological landscape design has included studies at the New York Botanical Garden and New Directions in the American Landscape. She is a member of the Local 59 network, a group focused on the collection and production of seed and plants from Ecoregion 59 (ours!). The meeting will be held in the Carriage House. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be served.
