Join Our Stewardship & Grounds Supervisor, Rebecca Policello and Meadows Technician, Matt Jakaitis for a wetland restoration project on Wednesday, August 23 from 10-11am. The project site, the “Croft Wetland”, is a habitat currently overcrowded by invasive vines and grasses. By participating in this restoration, you will be uncovering hidden pockets of natives and making space for new plantings this Fall. Together we will dig out stubborn (and sometimes thorny) invasive shrubs and pull Japanese stiltgrass.
Waterproof shoes and long pants are required for participation. Leather & rubber work gloves will be available to borrow.
Kids 10+ are welcomed to participate, accompanied by an adult.
Any questions please email Rebecca at [email protected].
